In July of 2010, the field of veterinary medicine lost a faithful servant in Dr. John Henton after a short battle with acute myeloid leukemia. In addition to being a professor in the Large Animal Clinical Sciences of the University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine, Dr. Henton was an original member of the board of the East Tennessee Veterinary Medical Association and was instrumental in our establishment.

In response, the ETVMA was honored to contribute a donation to the Dr. John and Cathy Henton Scholarship Endowment Fund. The fund was created “to express our thankfulness for their commitment to veterinary education and their love for the more than one thousand students they’ve known over the past three decades.” (UTCVM)
